A bit of the history for this Harley Davidson Panhead

Originally from Winston Salem, North Carolina
where it belonged to the owner of the Harley
Davidson Dealership and then his son.  After some
years it was sold to its' 2nd owner also in Winston
Salem where it sat for two years before the decision
was made to sell it to someone who could do the work
it needed to be  enjoyed once again.
And that it has.

The restoration was completed in 2008 and it has
been ridden some 10k miles since.  Fine tuned &
tinkered with along the way, whatever it needed it
got; and now it is time for it to be passed along and
continue its' journey as a piece of Harley Davidson

In such original condition when purchased back in 2006 the plan to restore it began the moment it was picked up
in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
From the frame to the adjustable lower triple tree front end to the sheet metal and of course on to the motor &
trans this original 1961 Panhead totally deserved to be brought back to its' glory days.

After almost a year and a half of hard work it was completed and ready to be enjoyed and that it was.  Runs and
rides like a dream.  Bike was restored at 60k original miles then the original speedo broke after about 1k miles or
so, new V-Twin speedo has 8,400 for a total of just under 10k miles since completion.
Now, after just over ten years its' time for a new project to begin and this awesome Pan to find a new home.

Starting off with all that is original the list includes the Frame, Engine Cases, Heads (no broken fins- totally
redone w/ valve guides, unleaded valve seats, new valves), the complete Front End with Adjustable Lower Triple
Trees (that have at some point been chromed), the Fenders, Cam Cover, Rocker Covers, Trans Case & Kicker
Assembly, Swing Arm, Bars, Levers, Controls, H/D Fender Trim, Oil Tank, Horn (inop), Brake Drum, Backing
Plate, & Dash Housing.

Moving onto what has been replaced/upgraded the list includes S & S carburetor (hidden behind original stock air
cleaner), V Twin cylinders with S & S 8.5:1 Pistons, Andrews #1 Cam, Truett & Osbourne Stock Stroke Rods &
Flywheels, all new bearings & bushings, Baisley 2:1 Ratio Oil Pump Drive Gears, new Trans Gears with close ratio

You are buying this 1961 Harley Davidson FLH Duo Glide directly from its titled, registered owner who did all the
restoration himself.  Feel free to contact us with questions and we will be happy to help.
The bike runs, rides, starts, idles, stops and shifts excellent with no issues.  All of its lighting is in proper working
order, windshield nice and clear.
Its' paint is in overall outstanding condition with a rich, deep shine and all of its' chrome shows wonderfully.   The
picks are a bit of paint peel starting around the gas cap neck and light scratches at the rear of the left saddle bag
from a set of keys.  Nothing to take away from its' overall stunning condition.
A video is available upon request of the bike being started & running.
